“When someone looks at one of my paintings, it makes me really happy if they tell me that they can feel the energy that is within the landscape.”

Suzanne Winn, Landscape Artist

Suzanne is a landscape artist living in rural Hampshire, she paints expressively in oils. Central to her work is a desire to tap into the energy she feels within the landscape. This energy brings a sense of movement and freedom, and a feeling of connection. Much of Suzanne’s work is based upon landscapes immediately local to her home, aiming to convey something of how it feels to be within these spaces, and her emotional responses to experiencing nature in this way.

Suzanne sells her work internationally, exhibits at the New Ashgate Gallery in Farnham and is represented by Artfully Sorted.

The Brief

Suzanne had done what a lot of artist’s do and hidden behind her work. She wanted to have the confidence to be able to share her story of why she paints so her clients could see deeper into her work and connect on a more emotional level with her as an artist.

The Solution

I created a collection of 6 films for Suzanne, a 5 min documentary film and five 1-2 min shorts. These films showcase on her website and gave her a platform to share on social media the reasons behind why she paints, all telling her story of her connection to nature and the local landscape.

Alongside these films, I captured a large set of complementary brand story images and headshots for her to use on her website, socials and printed marketing.

The Result

Suzanne was absolutely thrilled with the films and images. She was initially quite shy and nervous about talking about her work but I helped her to relax and feel comfortable to be herself.

Suzanne’s launched a new website which looks cohesive as she married her images alongside her paintings.

The feedback about her documentary film was wonderful and gave her an incredible boost to keep sharing about herself:

“This is a wonderful film that helps us to connect with you and your incredible ability to capture the energy and light of nature.”

“This is a wonderful film Suzanne and I really get an understanding of how you paint.”

“Suzanne, I was deeply touched by the film! Your evident love for nature and soul connection shines through in your work and the film captures that perfectly!”

“Esther was very good at putting me at ease and helping me to relax into the process. She took the pressure away.”
